Hull
My father suffered terrible neglect over the period of the start of the pandemic.
He had multiple falls, one resulting in a broken hip. His diabetes went unchecked and he suffered seriously low blood sugar.
He laid convulsing unconscious o the floor whilst staff neglected to call emergency services assuming he was drunk as he had had one half of lager.
He was found with faeces on his fingers and urine all over the floor on several occasions.
We were made to visit him in a freezing cold conservatory when the boiler broke down and not allowed in the lounge where it was warm.
He subsequently ended up in A&E with a chest infection and acute cellulitis. He still remains in hospital and hasn't had a visitor in 10 weeks.
He has dementia and has declined in mental health. It is an ongoing battle to try to gain visiting rights.
